2. Physical Resource Management

ArenaCore physical compute / network / storage / rack layer design management

Evan Linwood · November 25, 2019

The Physical Resource Manager is a visual workspace that supports the creation and manipulation of physical equipment solution designs.

This capability allows system designers and architects to develop equipment solution designs quickly – both from predefined, standard pre-configured products and also by detailed customisation where this is wanted.

It is possible to incorporate equipment elements from multiple suppliers, using a drag and drop approach to equipment item selection and placement.

Built in workflow processes support the review and approval of solution designs. Once approved, new and modified equipment structures can be updated into downstream operations platforms – effectively linking the design and operations phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.

This document describes how to access and use the Physical Resource Manager, and how it relates to broader ArenaCore platform management concepts.
