Management Domains

Management Domains are a flexible way of categorising resource items according to schemes that are meaningful to the customer/owner of the resources.

This may be thought of as a ‘tag’ type capability, with the added enhancement that it is integrated into the ArenaCore Access Control mechanism.

The initial use case for Management Domains within ArenaCore is to support grouping of items that should be synchronised into one or more nominated external OSS management platforms (i.e. configuration management, monitoring or trouble ticketing systems).

Development work around this is ongoing. Additional potential use cases include:

  • grouping items that a given Supplier will have access to modify/service/support
  • grouping items that various groups of internal customer IT administrators have access to
